Inspiration: I come from a huge family, seriously, we think of our selves more as a clan than a family, and I wanted to honor that. So much love, time and materials were donated to us, and Kevin and I wanted to showcase that. We wanted our guests to walk into the space and feel that our families had literally pulled items out of their houses for the decorations and seating.
Since the setting was just outside Sonoma Valley, I wanted to showcase the natural rustic charm of my uncle's stunning house.
Planning a wedding, as a wedding planner, for a wedding planner, is hard. There are so many gorgeous styles of weddings, and I have seen some incredible things done at weddings. It can be hard to stay focused on your theme and to meet the budget you have set.
My father made the planters for the tables, and the table tops too! My mother, mother - in - law, and I thrifted the plates from all over the country (seriously! CT, WA, VA, and CA) to get antique plates we could use as our favors and as the dessert plates.
